Game Idea Research

Last week we were asked to brainstorm four different ideas that could be possible games that we could create in this module of 'MultiMedia Development.Below I have listed the four that I came up with: Racing Game Interactive Game (COVID Edition) Maze Running / Chase Game So after a lot of contemplating I have finally decided to do a mix of two ideas which are the 'Maze' and 'Chase game'. I decided to do a mix of both of the games because I really couldn't narrow it down they both seemed like good ideas to me so the best thing for me to do was just to mash them together and take the best parts of each game. I decided against the racing game and the interactive game as I don't think they were as interesting as the maze or chase game. Game Design

WHAT IS A GAME? When first trying to read the papers about 'Games' I found it extremely hard as I felt there was so much information. But after reading it a few times and making helpful notes I found the papers to be quite interesting. From my reading of the paper What is a game Anyway? , I found it extremely interesting after reading it a few times. What I have discovered is that when playing a game usually the 'players' main objective is win the game. I also discovered that when playing any game that there is certain components that make up the game. For example: Rules: Every game you ever play has guidelines to follow by in order to play the game. Resources: Every game you need some sort of object eg.basketball, monopoly board, remote, to make the game playable, if you didn't have these resources you wouldn't be able to play the game.
